The Sherpa have lived their lives in one of the harshest environments where wood is scarce. Thus they historically used hand-carved stones and rocks to build their homes.
The same technique is used to build retaining walls to carve out fields for growing crops and rearing livestock.

This building style is part of the culture of the Sherpa people who pass this knowledge to each generation. In addition to being know as the best mountaineers in the world, the Sherpa are also regarded as one of the world’s most renowned rocks craftsmen.

Sherpa Rocks is a family-owned landscaping company situated deep in the heart of Colorado, serving communities of the greater Denver area including Jefferson, Larimer, Summit and Eagle Counties. (We travel other counties if needed.)
